Representations

tool description

The mise en scène of the information is called informance. It means representing an idea by acting in order to tell, explain and share it. Either the actors are professionals or not, the way the story is represented should be relevant with reference with the contents so that the presentation becomes a real support for the communication of the idea and not an element of distraction.

DESIGNING A SHOPPING EXPERIENCE

IDEO

This sample is taken from IDEO Method Cards and show how they used informance to convey the implications of some proposed technology concepts during the redesign of a shopping experience. The purpose was to imagine and try the conceived experiences, but also to show how these experiences will be when implemented. In this way they could communicate their insights and share the comprehension of the concepts with all their implications.
